Frequently asked questions

What does CGI product rendering cost in London?

Fresheather CGI projects start around £4,000 for a single hero pack render and scale to £25,000 plus for a full campaign suite with animation. Pricing depends on the level of realism, the number of finals, animation length and whether liquid or particle simulation is involved. Every brief gets a fixed-fee quote with no hourly rates, so the cost you see is the cost you pay.

How long does a CGI project take from brief to delivery?

A single hero CGI still typically takes 2 to 3 weeks from kickoff. A short product animation runs 4 to 6 weeks. A full multi-asset campaign with environments and motion takes 6 to 10 weeks. We work in three review rounds: blockout, look development and final, so brand teams see the work landing well before the delivery date.

Do you create CGI liquid and pour shots for beauty and FMCG brands?

Yes. Liquid simulation, pours, splashes, drips and viscous flow are a Fresheather specialism. We have a self-initiated Liquid Render Study in our portfolio that demonstrates the look. Liquid CGI is ideal for skincare textures, haircare consistency cues, drinks campaigns and any product where the formula is the hero.

Can you produce CGI packaging renders and structural prototypes before the product exists?

Yes. Packaging visualisation is one of the main reasons brands brief us. We can render bottles, jars, tubes, cartons, pumps and applicators from a CAD file, a flat artwork file or a sketch, before the physical product is on press. That lets marketing, social and retail decks run in parallel with manufacturing rather than waiting for first production samples.

How does CGI compare to stop motion, photography and AI-generated imagery?

CGI gives you total control and infinite revision. Stop motion gives you tactile craft and TikTok-friendly imperfection. Photography is fastest when the product, talent and set already exist. AI-generated imagery is cheap and fast but cannot deliver brand-accurate packaging, true-to-formulation textures or the precision a global beauty client needs. Most Fresheather briefs combine two of these techniques. We help brands pick the right mix per asset.
