For The Happiness Planner, we created a series of handcrafted stop motion videos to launch new journals, planners and digital tools.

Designed to reflect the brand’s mindful, intentional approach to productivity, the animations brought each product to life through tactile storytelling - combining physical set builds, playful transitions and carefully composed movement. The result was a collection of visually distinctive launch assets designed for social and digital platforms.

The Challenge

Planner products are inherently tactile - their value lies in the physical experience of writing, reflecting and organising. Translating that feeling into digital content required a format that could capture both the product’s material quality and its thoughtful design.

The challenge was to create visually engaging content that communicated the product’s purpose while staying true to The Happiness Planner’s calm, considered aesthetic.

The Insight

Planning is about small moments of intention.

Rather than presenting the journals purely as static products, stop motion allowed us to show the act of planning itself - pages turning, ideas forming and tools coming together. By focusing on movement and detail, the films could mirror the mindful rituals that sit at the heart of the brand.

The Idea

Journals, planners and accessories moved through carefully choreographed scenes, highlighting their structure, design and everyday use. Through tactile set design and frame-by-frame animation, the films balanced calm visual composition with moments of surprise and motion.

The result was a set of launch assets that felt warm, distinctive and perfectly aligned with the brand’s ethos.
